Allison Trujillo manages billing and insurance for Cloudberry. You can contact her directly at 505-405-3691.

Cloudberry uses the Hint.com platform for subscription payments; emails from this platform come from Cloudberry Health and the website URL is "jchildmd.hint.com." We use a separate platform for co-pay billing called Elation Passport, which patients can access through a web browser or mobile app. Elation Passport delivers your statements, links you to online bill pay and also gives you access to provider notes from your visits.

To help you get acquainted with the Elation Passport system, I’d like to give you a quick overview of how to view statements and pay your bills.

Directly following a Cloudberry visit, you’ll receive an email and text from Elation. If you have a bill to pay, the message will look like this:

Note that the message reads “Thank you for your visit to EMERGENCY SPECIALTY SERVICES LLC”; that’s how Cloudberry is shown in the Elation system. It is safe to click the link!

It’s easiest to view your statement from your desktop computer. Make sure to have the pop-up blockers turned off. Once you click the VIEW STATEMENT link, you’ll be taken to the landing page for Elation, where you’ll enter your date  of birth to verify your identity. Click GO

You will then see the amount you owe. Under Statement History, click a statement date to view your statement, which will show your balance and a breakdown of the charges.

At this point, follow the instructions to pay by mail (send check to our address, shown at the bottom of page) by phone or online.

If you choose to pay online, you’ll visit the ElationPay.com and enter your account number (shown at the top of your statement) and your date of birth.

If you have questions, need help paying online, or something doesn’t look quite right, call us at the number shown in the top left (505-405-3691) and we’ll be happy to help! I’m also happy to email you a copy of your bill or take your payment over the phone.

Please remember to review your statement. Insurance companies don’t always get it right when they process the claim. If you have Medicare as your primary insurance and AARP, Mutual of Omaha, etc., as your secondary or supplemental insurance, the supplemental insurance will not pay if you are still within your Medicare deductible. Please call your supplemental insurance company for questions on coverage.

In future issues of the Cloudberry newsletter, I will take a deeper dive into insurance so it’s less of a mystery. And as always, you can call me with any questions about insurance and Cloudberry billing. You will reach me directly at the number shown on your statement (505-405-3691).
